Hi, I’m Chloe Sanders, a Los Angeles-based entertainment writer who’s spent more than a decade covering Hollywood. I have a firm belief that celebrity news can be wildly fun while still being fair.

Welcome to Celeb Glance, my little corner of the internet where we can talk red carpets, buzzy casting news, and the occasional headline that makes you text your group chat immediately, all while keeping the humans behind the fame in focus. If you’re looking for pop culture coverage that feels like brunch with your most obsessed friend, you’re in the right place.

Quick mission: Smart celebrity coverage with heart, context, and respect.

How I got here

I was born and raised in the Midwest, which basically means I learned two important life skills early: how to make small talk with anyone, and how to treat award show season like a sporting event. I grew up devouring entertainment magazines cover-to-cover, memorizing designers on red carpets, and rooting for my favorite actors like they were hometown heroes.

In my early twenties, I packed up and moved to Los Angeles. I started out in public relations as a junior publicist, which taught me how Hollywood works from the inside. It also taught me something else: I didn’t love spin. I loved stories. The real kind. The kind that explains why a performance hits, what a career pivot costs, or how someone keeps going when the internet is not exactly being gentle.

So I traded spin for storytelling, and my career finally made sense.

Over the years, I’ve covered major red carpets and awards season from the press line, tracked casting and development from announcement to premiere, and written the career arc stories I always want to read. I’ve reported from studio lots in Burbank to festival crowds in Park City during Sundance, and I’m especially drawn to awards campaigns, TV casting, and red carpet style as a creative language all its own.

Note: This site is a personal, editorial project. Any past bylines, outlet credits, and interview anecdotes you see referenced here are illustrative of the kind of reporting I do and are not meant to imply affiliation with specific real-world publications unless explicitly linked on my Clips page.

What’s different

There’s a lot of celebrity coverage that treats famous people like characters instead of people. I’m not interested in that. I care about context. I care about accountability. And I care about not turning someone’s worst day into a punchline.

At Celeb Glance, we can still enjoy the sparkle and the drama of pop culture. We just do it with a little more heart, and some actual ground rules.

My north stars

  • Human-first storytelling: Careers, relationships, and reinventions come with pressure most of us will never experience. I try to cover the headline and the humanity.
  • Respect over gotchas: I’m not here to “catch” anyone. I’m here to inform, entertain, and keep things fair.
  • Joy is allowed: Celebrity news can be playful. Sometimes we need the fashion moments and the rom-com reunions. Consider this your permission slip.
  • Spotlight the good stuff: Philanthropy, mental health advocacy, and behind-the-scenes work deserve as much attention as the dating rumors.

Standards

I built this site because I love pop culture, but I also love getting it right. Here’s how I approach the work:

  • Sourcing: I prioritize primary sources (publicists, reps, official announcements) and reputable trade reporting. If something is rumor, I label it as rumor.
  • Privacy: I avoid piling on, avoid speculation about health and family, and steer clear of turning private people into content.
  • Corrections: If I get something wrong, I correct it promptly and note the update so readers can trust what they’re reading.
  • Independence: My PR background helps me understand the machinery. It does not set the agenda here.

What to expect

If you’re new, here’s what you’ll typically find on Celeb Glance:

  • Smart, speedy celebrity news with enough detail to feel informed, not overwhelmed.
  • Red carpet coverage that celebrates style and creativity without tearing anyone down.
  • Career deep dives that track the real arcs: breakout roles, comeback projects, and the quiet wins that deserve applause.
  • Philanthropy and advocacy highlights because fame can be a megaphone, and I love when it’s used well.
  • Relatable behind-the-scenes moments like nerves, imposter syndrome, and the things stars admit when the camera isn’t rolling.

Basically, we cover the buzz, but we also do the truth: clearly sourced when possible, corrected when needed, and handled with care.

A personal note

When I’m not writing, you can usually find me binge-watching classic 90s rom-coms with my rescue dog, Barnaby. He has strong opinions about popcorn, and honestly, he’s not wrong.

That mix of comfort, laughter, and a little bit of messiness is kind of how I think celebrity news should feel too. Escapist, yes, but also grounded. Fun, but not careless.
